Hi guys,
I recon some of you already went all through Sugga's details. Therefore, two simple questions:
1. I'm considering mounting 11.00R16 tires. Any bad experience ? Do they touch the body ?
2. It's mentioned here: http://www.sdvsa.org/OldVolvosAndMyFall ... dwagon.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ,
the Sugga axles come from Spicer. I saw Volvo cast on them, therefore I'm in doubt. Maybe
you can tell more...
By the way, engine from my Sugga started almost right away after not beeing in use the last 4 years.

Re: spicer ? 11.00R16 ?
Maybe the interior of the axles are spicer, but on the outside everything says Volvo. I don't think that the axles are spicer thou. I have an open axle somewhere. I will check if there are any imprints on there.
As for the guy who posted this info: He sold his sow unrepaired. So my guess is, it didn't turn out as he had expected.
As for the 11.00.... I have them on my car and I don't have any problems. When the axles articulate to maximum, the inner side of the tires scrub a bit on the cabin, but that's about it.

Re: spicer ? 11.00R16 ?
I consider mounting disk brakes and if the axles were Spicer (or at least their ends) that would be an easy job . Upgrade kits for US build axles are easy to spot.
Maybe the original ones will work fine, of course after overhauling.

Re: spicer ? 11.00R16 ?
Deckard,
You experienced both 9.00 and 11.00 on the sugga - is it sensible difference when starting the car in first, or does it need much more pressure for
braking ?
Do only the front axle tyres touch the body of the car (axle articulated and wheels turned to max) ?

Re: spicer ? 11.00R16 ?
It definitly more needs power. That is why I am running a B36B now with 180hp. Braking is ok. Its easy to lock the tires. Articulation is no problem just a slight rubbing in the rear.
